Downey Woodpecker

Hello everybody. I apologize for being so far behind. The above Downey is a watercolor manipulation. I love playing around on Photoshop, especially if I get bored!
This is the same pic, just cropped and turned black and white.
This is the original shot, cropped down.
Same bird, different shot. This one is "lighting effects"
This is one of my Santa ornaments. As you can tell if you have sound on your computer, I still have my Christmas music on here. I love listening to it. I usually start listening to Christmas music right after Halloween!
This is Salem under the Christmas tree. He has been practically living there since the tree went up.
this is one of the neighborhood kitties that I started feeding here at the new house. She has such a sweet face.
This is out on 2oo N, 100 E. I have wanted several times to stop and get pictures of this pond while it was iced over with snow on the ground. I finally got around to doing it.
Christmas was pretty good, all things considered. Lyle, Ryan, Melissa and Cody came over for Christmas Eve dinner. We exchanged gifts. Lyle broke down. I knew he would. We all wanted Mom here for Christmas, but it just didn't work out that way. Today(December 30) would have been her 68th birthday.
Gonna go for now.
Love Ya
Lisa

Cute kitties! Better be careful feeding the neighbors cats lest they become yours! Talking from experience there. Great pic of the downey. i have been trying to get one to pose outside my window for a while. All I seem to catch is chickedees and titmouses.

Great photos. I love playing around on photoshop too, but sometimes get very frustrated when it's not turning out the way I want, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Which is a lot of the time:)
That pond looks like it might make a nice little ice skating spot. Have a Happy New Year, Lisa

Hey Lisa,

That's a lovely pic of the woodpecker. Love those little guys. Yesterday while driving down by the lake we saw a very large hawk but he flew off before I could grab a pic.

Oh, Sweetie...it is soooo hard to lose those we love. Even when we understand that they are in a better place...we grieve cuz we're left here to pick up the pieces and continue living without them.

We will continue to pray for you and your family.

~Blessings,
Jan

Beautiful pictures. Fun to see what you did playing with Photoship. I like your last picture of the pond. I could easily see it enlarged and framed. My kitty, Daisy, says "hi" to her look-alike far away friend, Salem.

I'm sending New Year wishes for a year of healing and joy.

Salem looks like our cat Onyx. The kitty you're feeding is really sweet and looks like a little bobcat! I like the B/W woodpecker shot. You're getting really good with Photoshop!

Hi Lisa! Wish you had a better end of the year 2008! Hope 2009 will fill your wishes!
Lovely post, but beware of Photoshop; you'll end in places where you have never been to... ;)

Blogtrotter will be posting on Delhi the next weeks; lots to see… Hope you like it and wish you a great weekend!

Your photos are great! It is such fun to play with PhotoShop like that. I do that, too, when I have time.

Poor little neighborhood kitty....she'll be with kittens unless she is spayed. Wish I could get her! Tigers like that (ot 'tabbies' as they are called) have always been my favorite. I love 'em all and have all kinds, but a tiger was my first one, so therefore, they are kind of special to me. Poor little kitty is all I can say....she looks so cold, too. Your Salem is gorgeous! I have a couple of black ones, too! Having 33, I have a good variety! LOL

I hope you are doing okay now after losing your mom. I thought about you all throughout the holidays.
