I Give Up!!!!

You'll never believe this. My computer crashed on me Saturday morning and I lost everything! Including about 3000 pictures! I am using one of Lori's computers to write this.
Last night, I had a little visitor. A juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbird. She stayed perched on my feeder for a couple of hours, even when I went out there to take pics of her. She never took off the entire time I was out there. I even used my pathetic cell phone camera from less than a foot away from her and she never took off. She was terribly cold, as it was only in the mid 40's at the time, with expected low of 39. I took just over 100 pics of her. I can't wait till I can either get my computer fixed or get a new one so I can get the pics up for you. My next-door neighbor is a police officer and I told him what happened. He told me that he would probably be able to recover my lost files for me, so keep your fingers crossed!
The pics above are as-is. I haven't done anything to them. I took them yesterday. The first one is a Tree Swallow and the other is my little visitor from last night.

Gonna get off her for now.

Sorry to hear about the computer. Hopefully you'll get your files back. Bless the hummer's heart. I bet she was freezing.

Oh man all those pictures! The hummers are here as well, so I whipped up some SUPER sweet sugar water for them. ( my secret in stealing the nighbors birds is to make my nectar sweeter!) The neightbor still uses that store bought stuff so I have the advantage! YES! Pretty soon they will be buzzing my yard like a swarm of bumble bees. Good luck on the recovery!

O, Lisa, I am so sorry this happened. When my hard drive crashed last year all was lost forever because I didn't back up. I am ashamed to say that I still haven't and this is a strong reminder!

Your neighbor sounds like he's had special training, and let's hope it comes in really handy this time around.

I wonder if the baby hummingbird made it through the night.....

Try taking your machine to a repair shop - they may be able to get some of the files back

Good idea to back things up in future! Such a shame if they're gone.

Your photos are lovely as usual xx

Hi Lisa! Sorry for the absence, but I’ve been busy with my parents’ health; almost 180 years to care... ;)
Lovely pictures!
Hope your computer gets fixed!

Hi Lisa! Remember me? I have been totally distracted with frivolous pursuits for a little while lately, I now intend to concentrate on my blog entries. So sad to here of the demise of your computer, this seems to happen to most of us ONCE. I guarantee that you will take precautions when you get another computer up and running! I do sincerely hope that you can retrieve all those photos. Regards Noel
