Another Blustery Day

Okay, because of the crappy weather, today's pictures are from March 2006. These were all taken at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Florida. I only put the bird pictures on here. The top picture, you can just block out that awful part of me. Just focus on the bird! Yes, I have lost some weight since then! LOL
I don't know what species most of these birds are. Parrot family, but I don't know any more than that.
I just tried to pick out some half-way decent shots.
These were some type of ducks.
This is the same parrot that was sitting on my hand drinking nectar. I thought it was so cool to have that bird crawl onto my hand to eat.
This is an albino Peacock. He was quite the show-off!
Another parrot.
This one is an African Grey (gray?)
This is a Spoonbill roseate.
And last, but not least, this is a Scarlet Ibis.
Okay, it was short and sweet! Hope you enjoy the pictures. At least it gives the illusion of being warm!

Lot of bright colors. That one you call an African Grey, what kind of bill does he have. Looks a little strange, I'm assuming he eats things from the water?

Those glorious pictures did give off a certain "warm" feel. All those birds are beautiful. I bet it was neat to have that parrot feed on your arm. How cool!

Hi Lisa,

Yes, it sure does give you the illusion of warmth, doesn't it? I LOVE Florida!!! I'm ready to go...how about you? LOL

The birds are so pretty, aren't they? I kind of wish I could have taken in feral birds instead of feral cats...at least they would be in cages! LOL

Yes, we got the snow, and everyone seemed happy over it. We don't see it that often here, so it was a big thrill for the kids to play in it, plus they are out of school a few days. But to be honest with you, I am ready for Spring...just to see the grass green again! Ours here is Bermuda sod, and it turns yellow after the first frost...and I am sick of looking at it...it looks dead. So if Spring comes to you first there, please send it down my way....

You look good in that picture! I know you've lost weight as I saw you in your Christmas tree picture. Who cares...we all seem to gain with age, anyhow. LOL As we grow older, our health is the most important thing we have.
