Hurry Up And Wait!

Hello everybody.
I swear, I don't know how someone could work so hard, yet get nothing accomplished! I have been working on the house, getting it ready to move in, but it seems like I haven't done anything. The final move is this weekend! The house was such a mess, and the guy that just moved out had the nerve to tell my mother that he left the house cleaner than what it was when he moved in. I swear, if he wasn't a cop, I'd deck him for being such an ass. He painted over wallpaper, put huge nails and screws in all the walls, took a huge shelf out of one of the bedrooms, hooked up a dishwasher and screwed up the sink plumming in the process, left oil all over the garage floor, let the kids have Kool-aid all through the house leaving pink stains in every room, nail polish in the carpet, holes in the walls. All this without any permission and thinks he should get his deposit back. As if!!! I hate stupid, inconsiderate people!
Can you tell I'm aggrivated?
Michael wanted me to tell everybody Thank You for all your birthday wishes. He couldn't believe so many people left the message for him.
These are all older pics. Still from October, but I haven't been taking any pics lately, since I have been working on the house. The bridge is from springtime.
Chuck and I went to Portland Friday night to Walmart. It was a little after 10 p.m. when we left to go over there. On the way, we saw two deer along the road. One had crossed the road in front of me and the other one stayed where he was until we passed. Thankfully, I wasn't going very fast, or I may have hit the first one. We got home around 1:00 a.m. and stayed up talking until about 4:00 a.m.! Can you say Tired Puppy! I'm still trying to catch up on sleep!
It is currently 32 degrees F. They are calling for snow tonight. We had a little bit of sleet around 6:30 this evening. It only lasted for about 5 minutes.
For some strange reason, my pictures are posting in the opposite order that I selected them in. Don't know what's up with that.
Gonna get off here for now. I have to work at the middle school cafeteria again tomorrow.
Everybody have a great week and wish me luck on the moving process. I'm gonna need it!!!!!!!!
I more than likely won't post again until after the move, but I will definately be checking your comments.

Love Ya
Lisa

Cleaning up someone else's messes can be sooo repulsive. I still remember moving into an apartment and in which the previous tenant had left a disgustingly dirty bathtub. We had paid a cleaning fee. We demanded that the landlord get the apartment cleaned. He did some cleaning himself, still not up to our standards, but we were up against the clock and had to move in anyway and do the rest of the cleaning ourselves.

I live in a neighborhood where deer freely roam. Even going less than 20 miles per hour, I almost ran into one. They come out to the street so quickly and unexpectedly sometimes.

Good luck on your move.

I don't blame you for being upset. Cop or not, people need to take responsibility for their own actions. Deposit? I would think not!!

I like the fact that even though you are upset you posted some really nice photos. The little yellow bird is so cute. Good luck with the move and will look forward to hearing from you when done.

What a huge pain in the butt you've been having lately. Cleaning up the messes you make yourself is one thing, cleaning up after someone else is totally different. Hope the hard part is over for you now.

I can understand that you are very busy, but could you find the time to go to my blog and pick up your award?

Lisa: My photos did the same thing while posting. That's just to give you some extra work. I could hardly tell you were aggrivated, it really didn't come through in the post. You captured some neat photos.

I just put your blog down as receiving an award that I just received, please go to my blog and pick it up. Then you will have to list seven blogs you especially like and link to them. If you have the time, if not don't worry about it.

Lisa,

That bridge looks like the one on the outskirts of Eaton out by 450 where a Friend of mine Lives.

Very Old Tussle, don't care much for the coloring book effect, but the picture is nice.

Sorry for the bluntness lol, don't see a point in ling if something looks good or bad. It's a great picture, but the coloring book filter isn't that good.

Working on a house can be so overwhelming and exhausting. Hope you catch up soon. :) Love the lizard!

I haven't been keeping up too well with the blogs I like to read every day. Seems with two more people in the house, plus a cat, I don't have quite as much time on the computer.

So, are you moving or is your Mother? Anyway you look at it, if you have to clean the place before moving in, that is tiring work. If you could afford to have someone do it, that's the way I would go. Also hire someone to clean the place I would be leaving. What ever is going on, good luck with it all.

Oh man I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience with this guy. Sounds like his neglect has turned you from a land lord to a slum lord!

As for those last pics from my drown camera, the memory card was fine. I was doing some internet research trying to find a way to preserve my baby and came across several stories where people even put their memory cards in the washer on accident and were still able to recover their pictures.

Hi Lisa

I am still around and in the land of the living. I don't envy you your move but hopefully you will get it over and done with smoothly. I am gonna miss the animals around your place though!!

Aren't you glad that we took pics of the railway viaducts before they tore them all out??? We also had a little bit of sleet and snow yesterday.

Sorry I missed Michael's birthday, so a belated happy birthday from me too.

My pics have started posting in reverse order too, must be a blogger thing who knows LOL.

Keep in touch, I am going to help Val and Stan take stuff out to the camp grounds where they are going to spend 4 days as we may not see a reasonable weekend with decent temps for a while. I will only be out for a few hours, not going to ride tomorrow or anything, L is giving me a hard time about it.

((((Hugs)))) you are always in my thoughts, say hi to Chuck and Michael.

Hey I could tell you some moving stories...lol But, like you, we paid a "cleaning fee" before we could move into our new apartment once. ($150 i think) When I scoffed at the price, she told me "they do a really good job" well, I'm not a white glove kinda guy, but they did not do a "really good" job. Look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to pay $150.00 for the insult! very cool picture of the salamander ( lepard maybe?) salamanders are soo cool. hoep the rest of your move goes well....

I know what you are going through. I have only recently sold my Commercial Cleaning Business. We had a contract with a Real Estate Rental Company where we cleaned homes vacated by tenants that did not clean up. We came across some real shockers! Hope your move-in went well. In a couple of months all will be past tense and forgotten.
Regards for now, Noel

I am so far behind that I didn't even know you were moving! I'll be abck again tomorrow and try to catch up more with your life.

Renters have no respect for other people's property! I work for my son's property management company in FL, and those homes are beautiful, and the way people leave them is an absolute disgrace! I feel for you with such a mess to clean up.

I'll be back sometime tomorrow....I pulled an all-niter last night, trying to get some accounting work caught up, so I am ready to call it a day now!
