Almost The Weekend!

I went out to my mother's yesterday and steam-cleaned her living room and bedroom carpets. I was there about 3 hours. They have 4 new baby peafowl. I have only seen a couple of pictures that Lyle took of them. I haven't seen them for myself yet. Just hope they all survive. Every year, something kills them off. Unsually only one survives. They don't know if it's a coyote or a cat or a predatory bird killing them. They are so cute when they are little. They are all brown. It takes quite a while to tell gender. They want another female, but so far, only the male babies have survived. This picture is from 2 years ago. She had four babies that time as well. Lori and I are going to try to get out and take some pictures today. Have to keep plenty of cold water or tea or something with us. Chuck is out mowing the lawn. It's already 80 degrees, high expected of 88 today. Too warm for my taste! I prefer the upper 60's low to mid 70's. When I was at work the other day, a customer and I were talking about the heat. I jokingly said, "is it too soon to wish for cold weather"? He immediately said YES. Spring and fall are my favorite times of the year. Milder termeratures. I had to get a shot of my squirrels again yesterday. There were about a dozen of them around this tree all at once. Some were fighting over the peanut feeder. They just can't figure out that there is plenty for everybody! Sorry about the blue in the lower left corner. That's the tarp over the grill. I didn't want to get any closer for fear of scattering them.

The flowers are from grandpa's farm when I was out there picking berries last week. I think somebody told me they are called Brown-eyed Susan? If I am mistaken, please tell me what they are called.Gonna get off here for now. Hopefully I'll have a lot of good shots for you tomorrow after our outing. Everybody take care, and have a good weekend. I will see you later.

Love Ya

Lisa

Happy week-end. I need my living room carpet cleaned, but afraid to try it myself. So I guess I better be calling Stanley Steamer.

Black-eyed Susans is what they are called here in the Pacific Northwest. That shot of the moon is to howl for!
