More Heat And Humidity

Hello! I thought this turned out pretty cool! It's a picture of a vulture that I took while we were at the horse show. When I tried to enhance it, I hit "auto levels", which usually brings out the correct coloring, the second picture is what I got.
The same happened with this shot below, but slightly different effect.
As Lori said in the comments on the last post, I can only post pics of the horses by themselves. No humans without written consent. The ones that I have currently are slim pickins, but here they are.

Lori has the rest of my pictures on her computer and I will have to wait until she gives me the disk. My mother called me earlier. She is still in the hospital and will be until either tomorrow afternoon or some time Thursday morning. The biopsy came back positive for cancer of the liver, but the good news is that it is treatable, so she will start chemo tomorrow. She also still has to do a pet scan to try to find the origin of the cancer. The doctor says that it didn't originate in the liver, but they don't know where else it could be until they do the pet scan. Please keep her in your prayers. Gonna get off here for now and get ready to go to work. :(

Love Ya

Lisa

Lisa: I do pray that your mother will get through this. Chemo is tough but if the body can fight through sometimes all is corrected. I do hope she is healthy to start.

Thank you, Fishing Guy. Unfortunately, her health is not the greatest. She smokes and drinks, and she is extremely thin, even though she eats like crazy. The doctor told her she needs to gain weight.

Praying that your mom will tolerate the chemo well. It would be helpful if she had more weight as she is bound to lose some. Keep us posted now. Prayers going out for her!

I'm glad that the cancer is treatable. That is excellent news.

The pictures are fabulous. I love the effect of the enhancement. What fun.

The photos of the beautiful horses make me wish I could ride again. I can't because of skeletal problems, but feel blessed that I got the opportunity to do so in (not that much) younger days.

I know what you mean about having a beloved pet put down. I have 4 cats buried at my daughter's, and then I started having them cremated after that, so I have 8 little chests on my mantle that are going to go in with me when I go. And.....I have 33 living yet!!! So I have a lot of heartache to go through before I am done being a pet owner. It is so hard, but I always hold their little heads in my hand til they go limp. So hard to do, how well I know.

I have seen so many beautiful animals at this specialists' clinic, and it hurts to know that they all are going to die. Breaks my heart, and they're not even mine. But the way I look at it is that my cats had a better life with me than they would have had living on the streets. It's just a part of life that we all have to face someday.....

How do you catch that eagle? but, I like brown horse, it look nice with white hair..

Hello Hendrawan. Thanks for visiting. It's not an eagle in the picture, it is a vulture, or turkey buzzard. Although they are very beautiful and graceful while flying, they are very ugly sitting still. They are easier to photograph than most birds, because they like to just kind of float along on the air current. They aren't flapping their wings to pick up speed, so they are moving much slower. Just pan around with the bird and keep on him until focused then shoot.

Lisa, you say, "My mother called me earlier .... The biopsy came back positive for cancer of the liver, but the good news is that it is treatable, so she will start chemo tomorrow... ... it is very difficult finding. . And every man is hardly carries with it. Chemo is also anxious and very exhaustive, but if detected in time and the focus located in most cases very successful method of removing cancer. And as this said Lib; "So sorry to hear about your Mom, will be praying for her". I want to be a successful treatment and to return as soon as the family and to all who love. I want to you all the best

I'm glad that, so far so good, with your mother. Hopefully she'll gets trough this. My brother died of liver cancer because there were no options then as there are now. They can do so much more nowadays.

I love the shots of those horses. It's always their eyes that stand out.

You are so right about the vultures. They look beautiful as they fly on the air currents but on the ground...oh man. Prayers for your Mom.

I am back again. :) Hope you can find your vintage embroidered pillowcases so you can use them. I had heard about the dryer lint too. They like a soft place for their babies. :)

Hi Lynn. Sorry to say, I haven't had possession of those pillow cases in over 20 years. They disappeared during my first marriage. They would probably be about 35 years old by now, if not older. I was still in grade school when she made them for me.

Hope that your mum is coping well with her diagnosis, and is able to handle the chemo - what awful news....
